I appreciate you checking out my blog and hope you enjoy♡
I'm honored to announce that I am one of the book/horse lovers who get to help Carly Kade reveal the cover of Cowboy Away, book two in her equestrian fiction series! Thank you so much for having me be apart of all this and for understanding all that I've had going on. You're so kind and amazing to work with, thank for your being so patient!
The first installment in her series is called In the Reins. The novel inspired by the equestrian lifestyle has been an Amazon bestseller for more than 10 weeks, is an EQUUS Film Festival Literary Award Winner for Best Western Fiction and has earned two Feathered Quill Book Awards in the 'Romance' and 'Books Featuring Animals - Adult' categories. In case you haven’t read In the Reins yet, here is some informa%on on the book for those of you who've yet to check it out! Synopsis:
Cowboy McKennon Kelly was the last thing Devon Brooke wanted to focus on after finding herself suddenly single. Looking for a fresh start to life, city girl and journalist Devon just wanted to go back to her country roots and focus on building a relationship with her newly acquired equine partner Faith.
Devon finds companionship in handsome bull riding ranch hand JD and delicate Green Briar horse farm owner Sophia, both who advise Devon to keep her distance from McKennon and "mind her p's and q's" around the quiet and eerily peaceful stables. Devon thinks it shouldn't be too difficult to avoid the Adonis cowboy, but after noticing his skills and expert ways with training horses, she figures it couldn't hurt to get to know him a little bit ... right? Devon follows the guarded cowboy to a horse show, where she is unprepared to learn she may not be the cowgirl she thought she was. After a near-tragic incident, Devon begins to realize that the more time she spends with McKennon, the less she really knows about it (or horses, for that matter), and his mystery just keeps getting bigger. Who is he really, what is it that everyone doesn't want her to know, and why is this tight-shirted. spur-jingling, weather-eyed cowboy all she can think about? Deeply romantic and suspenseful, In The Reins captures the struggle between letting life move forward and shying away from taking the reins. Passionate, captivating, and full of equine epiphanies, this is a love story sure to touch your inner cowgirl. Need a new read? Try In the Reins! Available now in Paperback and eBook:

Blurb of Cowboy Away, Part 2 of In the Reins:
Cowboy McKennon Kelly’s haunting past was a well-kept secret around the Green Briar stables, despite how hard newcomer cowgirl Devon tried to get to know him. As much as he wants to let go of his ghosts and learn to love this woman waiting for him, the grip his demon has on him is holding him hostage. If McKennon is going to move on with his life (and with Devon), he has a score to settle with death.
But does he really want to move on? Can he? Does he deserve any happiness after what he did? Lost in a world of self-blame, McKennon struggles to cope with the relationships of his past, but accepts he must face some of them in the present in order to create a future. Stay Tuned! Cowboy Away is coming to a bookshelf near you in 2017.
Cowboy Away, the highly anticipated sequel to In the Reins, an EQUUS Film Festival Literary Award winner for Best Western Fiction and two-time Feathered Quill Book Award recipient, journeys through McKennon’s dark and tortuous past. A cowboy on a quest for revenge, McKennon hits the road with nothing but his memories, a pistol and hope to put his demon to rest.
My Review for the new Cowboy Away cover:
I do have to say that I enjoy the cover of In the Reins more than Cowboy Away, simply because I like the bright colors'; they really make the book pop! I feel like the cover shows who I assume is Devon "star gazing" at the distant McKennon. I guess we'll really understand the cover more once we can read the book! I do really like that the cover go together, there's nothing worse then two books in a series that don't look like they belong in the same series. About the Author:
