Till DeathTitle: Till Death Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout Publication Date: February 28th, 2017 Publisher: William Morrow Category: Adult Genre: Contemporary Star Rating: 4 out of 5 Synopsis: It’s been ten years since Sasha Keaton left her West Virginia hometown . . . since she escaped the twisted serial killer known as the Groom. Returning to help run her family inn means being whole again, except for one missing piece. The piece that falls into place when Sasha’s threatened—and FBI agent Cole Landis vows to protect her the way he couldn’t a decade ago. First one woman disappears; then another, and all the while, disturbing calling cards are left for the sole survivor of the Groom’s reign of terror. Cole’s never forgiven himself for not being there when Sasha was taken, but he intends to make up for it now . . . because under the quirky sexiness Cole first fell for is a steely strength that only makes him love Sasha more. But someone is watching. Waiting. And Sasha’s first mistake could be her last. My Thoughts:
Romance books aren't quite my cup of tea unless they''re written by an author I really enjoy. For me, Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of those authors. If she writes it then I'm reading it, I don't care what it's about because I know that no matter what I'll love it because Jen's writing is fantastic. One of the things I really enjoyed about Till Death is that it isn't your average romance novel. It has an edgy, thriller-mystery side to it that consistently leaves you on your toes! This book has you grabbing at your pages for more from the very beginning. It starts you off with a prologue where we get read from the view point of a murdering psychopath who's back with a vengeance. I mean who doesn't want more with an intro like that one? "There were two types of death. Actual death, like the kind this poor woman had suffered, where the body and soul and everything was gone. Then there was the second kind of death- where the soul was stripped away, but the body continued on, going day to day, just existing in a shell of what once was." Sasha Keeton is comming back to her small town home, it's been ten years since she was kidnapped by the Groom and she's yet to return home since. Till now. It's been a long journey for her, overcoming what she experienced wasn't easy and it still isn't. She learns to battle through her past in order to live her future but what if her past comes back to haunt her? Luckily for Sasha the oh-so-attractive Cole still has his eyes set on her. With the help of her mom, best friend, and Cole, Sasha works to fight off her inner demons. I recommend reading this book, it's a bit different that the other books that Jen has written! I really enjoyed and hope to see more similar by her in the future! I'd like to apologize to those who read my reviews, I'm definitely not proud of this one because I was seriously lacking some blogging muse. I do really hope that my awful, short review here doesn't deterred you from this book. GO pick it up and read it! They come back and talk to me if you wish so we can swoon over Cole together, haha!
